I never planned on becoming a photographer. I started out taking a class in painting to satisfy my liberal arts elective as I studied psychology at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Shortly after completing Painting 101, I inherited my Grandfather’s Nikon F1 camera, inspiring me to sign up for Darkroom 101. What began as a curiosity quickly evolved into a strong motivation to pursue photography as a career. I enrolled in a dual major, studying psychology alongside studio art with a concentration in photography followed by a graduate school education at the Academy of Art for Fine Art Photography.
